Omschrijving auto

In Germany, there are no getaway cars. – The Porsche 996 

De Porsche 996; Het meest gepeste kind van de 911-klas. Ze had ook eigenlijk een onmogelijke taak.. De Porsche-puristen overtuigen die de 911 roemde om haar luchtgekoelde techniek. Porsche moest wel; De luchtgekoelde motoren kwamen niet meer door de uitstoot-eisen. Dus stapte Porsche over op vloeistof gekoelde motoren. Daarmee was het de meest controversiële 911, maar wellicht ook de beste! 

Dankzij de vloeistof-gekoelde techniek werd de 6 cilinder boxermotor werd ze stiller, schoner, efficiënter en vooral, krachtiger. Die van ons, de Carrera 4, heeft een 3.6 die iets meer dan 320 Stuttgartse volbloed paarden je rug laat duwen. De Tiptronic S heeft vijf versnellingen en laat zich ook bedienen met knoppen op het stuur. Ze schakelt boterzacht en bij het sportieve rijden, is ze direct wakker! De eerste eigenaar willen we overigens bedanken voor het feit dat hij óók even bij de Porsche-Exclusive afdeling aanklopte; Haar interieur werd volledig uitgevoerd in het Graphite Grey met donkergrijze ‘carbonfiber’ sierlijsten. Kostte destijds bijna 5.000 euro -voor een paar sierlijsten-, maar buurman, die heb jij niet he! 

We zijn zelf onder de indruk van haar originaliteit. Haar originele windscherm zit nog in de beschermhoes, haar CD wisselaar zit nog voorin en haar optie sticker zit nog onder de kofferklep. Ze heeft volledig originele lak (!). Uiteraard is ze uitgebreid gedocumenteerd; tot zes jaar geleden volledig Porsche dealer onderhouden. Oorspronkelijk in de USA geleverd, maar kwam na acht jaar in Nederland. Sinds dien twee eigenaren, die duidelijk zeer zorgvuldig met haar zijn omgegaan. Recent volledig onderhoud gehad (inclusief nieuwe N-codering banden).
